So, I’ve been seeing an alarming number of photographs of turtles and tortoises with painted and/or bejeweled shells. As neat as stuff like this looks (and it’s clear that the OP is a talented artist!) I’m not sure this is good for the turtle. Turtle shells are not like hermit crab shells — they’re part of the turtle’s body. I’d be concerned that the paint would interfere with normal shedding and trap mold and bacteria under the scutes.

This is literally just a wonderfully fat, rounded bean bag in the shape of a sleeping grizzly bear. It looks massive and cushy, and its made by Hong Kong design studio Chic Sin Design.
Believe it or not, the surface pattern of the grizzly is entirely knitted, rather than printed. You can buy it on their Etsy shop.
To my few followers:
Sorry I haven’t updated in a while, but school has been kicking my butt. After finals next week I should be on here more regularly again. And hopefully some inspiration and motivation will find me on the way.
